So late in the season I was going through remaining untouched prospects and decided to pursue this 6'7", 225 JUCO ATH. Didn't think much of him, and there were other guys in the Dynasty that he had higher interest in. But what the hell, I figured go for him anyway. Well all I have to say is Oh Shit Son This lowly #15 rated ATH turns into an 86 OVR DE, with 79 speed and 80s for Power Moves, Finesse Moves, and Block Shedding. He actually would have been an 89 rated DT, but it seemed a bit silly to have a guy at 225 playing Tackle. As with last season's find, End is his primary position, as his ATH rating was 86, but his LB ratings dropped him down to 73 and 72 for MLB and OLB. Here's a breakdown of the key numbers:
79 Speed 85 Acceleration 87 Strength 81 Agility 83 Tackle 82 hit Power 85 Power Move 81 Finesse Move 81 Block Shedding 83 Pursuit 81 Play Recognition 70 Jump (at 6'7", a bit ridiculous)
My only problem is he's a JR, and I'm not sure if I should just go ahead and Redshirt him this season, or let him have some fun right away. Can't imagine what those numbers will look like after a season of just practicing, but as it stands he's my top rated defender before Player Training. Based on the increases shown by the Senior who would have been starter this season, he may get out there pretty early.

Very disappointed with a majority of my recruits....A 4 star wr came in as a 69........I was like wtf!!! And apparently I misjudged who was coming back for me or something because I should've recruited at least 2 more offensive linemen, My best recruit was an athlete I got he could be an 83 d end 81 d tack 84 linebacker 80 corner 83 safety. I really need help at d end since I lost my starters and their top back ups but I don't want to cheese with a 94 speed d end. I found a couple of gems at linebacker but I really needed one with corner the way you guys like to pass alot as well. I like to be prepared with my team as far as the future but I'm still at least 2 seasons away. I'm behind on with my o line and my secondary. And if my qb gets hurt.......it's a wrap.

LOL. I guess some of you are excited about this season. As soon as ed sent the advance text out about 4 of us jumped on to see our teams!

Weird recruiting class for me... my defensive guys all came in pretty legit...offense a whole diff story...
Biggest Surprise: #14 QB (3*)....came in at 63 OVR....I was about to move him to K so I remembered to cut him and turns out hes a 75 OVR at kicker...perfect save b/c I was about to roll w/ a 56 OVR
Best Recruit: #12 C (3*) JUCO....86 OVR w/ 86 STR and 83 Run/Pass Blocking...instantly becomes my best OL
Biggest Disappointment: #19 ATH (4*)...I had a good feeling about this guy but apparently he just quit lifting and running....lost all of his football talent over the summer b/c he reported as a scrub @ 68 OVR

I'm actually pretty disappointed in Training Results. I had a bunch of guys who were rated at 77, and only maybe 1 or 2 actually ended up improving up to 80. A bit rough there, gotta hurry up and become 6 stars so those numbers go up.

Damn pie don't rub it in. I was trying to get that C. His ratings just seemed impressive. It was a SS I was trying to get I don't know who he ended up signing with he was a juco sophomore but I bet he comes in high as hell. I still can't believe that wr came in as a 69.....a 4 star 69.....smh

Ah, I wouldn't get too discouraged, the game just really requires you to plan ahead and play upperclassmen. However, I do think team ratings are gonna go down as a whole. Especially kickers and punters, I mean, everyone started with a kicker who could boot it through the end zone, but now most kickers in the recruiting pool are lucky to have D+ kick power/accuracy.

Seriously, they need to fix that. I'm just happy if I can sign a 3 star guy who turns into a mid 60. I rather last year where a walk-on could still end up good. Hell, most real college kickers and punters are walk-ons anyway who just played soccer.
