How awkward will that be for Bill Stewart?
All season knowing it's his last year, and that he's not gonna be the coach next year. lol. How the HELL is he gonna recruit kids?

Who is that guy tell me more about him. I'm happy we kept (i think) our offensive coord for another year. Just enough to bring in this qb we signed out of arky. He's a stud.

I'm sure he could see the writing on the wall, he wasn't gonna get a contract extension. At least this way, the new guy can gel with the defensive staff and hopefully keep them all.

Who is that guy tell me more about him. I'm happy we kept (i think) our offensive coord for another year. Just enough to bring in this qb we signed out of arky. He's a stud. Dana Holgorsen - OC - Oklahoma State In his only season in Stillwater, Oklahoma his offense was first in the nation averaging 537 yards per game. Holgorsen also produced two Walter Camp All-Americans this past season in running back Kendall Hunter and wide receiver Justin Blackmon. Holgorsen spent the previous two seasons at Houston where his offenses where amongst the top in the nation. Holgorsen's 2009 offense finished as the national leader in total offense (564 yards per game), scoring offense (42.2 points per game) and passing offense (433.7 yards per game). He spent 2000-2007 at Texas Tech, his last three seasons as offensive coordinator under Mike Leach. Holgorsen and Leach have previous history, as Holgorsen played for Leach as a wide receiver at Iowa Wesleyan where Hal Mumme (of Air Raid offense fame) was head coach. Leach and Mumme moved on to Valdosta State, where Holgorsen joined them as an assistant coach. When Leach arrived at Texas Tech to become head coach, Holgorsen joined him. After all that, you'd expect Holgorsen's offense to mirror that of Leach at Texas Tech. One major difference, though - Holgorsen will run the ball much more often than Leach ever did. Before the season started, Holgorsen stated he'd look for a 60-to-40 pass to run percentage, but in the first six games, Oklahoma State has had 225 rushes for 1,046 yards, (4.65 ypc) and 243 pass attempts for 1,966 yards (8.9 ypa), a pass-to-run ratio of roughly 52-to-48 percent.

might i add that everywhere he has been his offense has been top 5 in the country in total yards per game including this year. He is only 38 years old so he could be a coach who is around for a long time.
Bill stewart will be taking a job in the athletic department for close to the same salary he makes right now and will do mostly fundraising and speaking engagements. For those who may not follow wvu football closeley, this has been coming since the syracuse loss.
Could it and should it have been handled differently? yes but wvu still got their guy.
I also believe that with him being the OC for a year, it will give him an opportunity to interact with the coaching staff and hopefully (crossing fingers) keep the defensive staff intact

This guy seems like a hotshot, and I'm excited to see some high flying offense, but he better prove to be a complete HC. If this hire turns out to be a bust, Ollie is going to feel some serious heat. Not everyone hated Bill Stewart.
