Tulsa 45, Kentucky 20
Game started off quick for me. Think I scored on the 2nd or 3rd play from scrimmage, on a 66 yard run. Game was pretty highly contested, despite the score. We caused a few turnovers and scored on big plays. We scored 45 points and weren't in the red zone once. lol
Offense: 43 pass attempts to 15 rushing attempts. A bit of that was predicated by the score, but when the game was still close, he was still primarily passing. The starter was pretty erratic on some of his throws, and a few INT's were probably not INT's in NCAA 12, or before. Just a bit of a learning curve with this new system. Best WR in this game was King, he had 119 and a touch. Preferred to attack outside of the numbers, with the passing game(Corners, curls, outs, streak). Once the 'starter' (Newton) left the game, the backup came in and hit 6/8 for 88 and a TD(Newton was 16/35 for 245 with a TD and 4 INT's)
Defense: I ran the ball 25 times, and passed 9. This is about where I like to keep it. I had 290 yards on the ground(218 came on 3 TD scoring plays of 63,66 and 89 yards). Taking away the big plays, and the average was relatively putrid, but it is what it is. My longest play came out of the pistol with the Triple Option. His defense bit on the fake to the FB, and it was just the QB and one guy and that guy got blocked. Put me in bad positions offensively, forcing me to pass on a few drives, and those drives stalled. Also threw 2 INT's in my 9 pass attempts.
ST's: Nothing!
Overall: Solid first user game for me. I'm glad I won, and I see what I need to work on, for sure. Good game blade, and good luck until we meet again.
