the academy came out on top...
offense: came out in three and four wide all game. converted ridiculously long third down plays with corner and out route on the wide side of the field. when i say ridiculous. i mean 3rd and 20. after a conversion or two, i moved my starting corners into the slot and it has no effect. i wanted to user control some of these players but the snap was coming too fast and i ended up controlling a non integral player. looking back i probably should set my line to aggressive cause the quick snaps/no huddle got him back in the game.
defense: i wanna give credit to stew...i really do but i can't. he got back into this strictly because the Washington playbook I'm using which is not my old faithful but I'm trying it out as i venture away from the spread to a more pro style method. as much as it resembles some new good-good, you realizes it lacks many winning traits that helps you in a pinch....anyways stew blitzes..i knew he was blitzing, i knew before picking my play he was blitzing. problem was i have very few blitz beaters in this playbook. screens, something! i spent valuable secs looking for a screen out of this specific formation and none was found. i end up with something from earlier that stew picked up on and the play was ineffective. anyways he blitzes alot. i converted many long down and distances early that weren't there late.
st: went for two twice. got one, missed other, made field goal
i wanna be sour at this loss but i can't be. i scored to open the second half with a 21-3 lead or something like that in spite of the lack of full knowledge of the playbook. i take full responsibility for not looking at the full scope of the playbook when playing the cpu so i can't place blame on anyone but me. ed...as my next opponent...i feel sorry for you...seven minute quarters..Yeah i smell half a hundred
