This is bob ley reporting from TSPN news. In front of me I have returning freshman all American qb Andrew Ewing; and I have incoming freshman halfback mike Jackson, both of these young men came to Colorado looking to start a winning tradition.
BL: Andrew, last year you lead the team to an 11-2 record and a final #6 ranking despite throwing over 20 interceptions, how will things be different this year?
AE: well last year the game moved so fast for me, fortunately coach Calhoun puts us in a very friendly system that helps us make plays with our feet. This year I hope to do a better job of getting my guys in space and putting them in position to make some plays.
BL: in your opening game against Florida state, you threw for 3 touchdowns and added 70 yards rushing on the ground, what worked for you in week 1?
AE: I would say its my teammates. Everyone on our side of the ball can score at any given moment, my receivers did a great job of finding spots and mr Jackson here did a great job of consistently getting yards when we needed them.
BL: what are your ultimate goals for this season Andrew?
AE: personally Mr. Ley, I would like to put up 2500 yards through the air and at least 1000 on the ground. I would like to win the PAC 12 and get to a BCS bowl.
BL: now on to this talented frosh halfback mike Jackson, what made you decide to join the falcons?
MJ: I watched a lot of top gun as a kid, it just seemed to fit. Coach Calhoun also promised me I could blow a bunch of shit up.
BL: ugh interesting, well you had a great game in week one, you scored a touchdown while racking up 100+ yards on 7 yards per carry.
MJ: Andrew you call me ice man, I'm gonna call you goose
AE: doesn't goose die?
MJ: (shrugs shoulders)
BL: ok "ice man" what parting message would you like to leave for the rest of the college football world?
MJ: I've got a target lock on every team in the PAC 12, bombs away... Bitches.
BL: well, that about sums up what was definitely the most interesting interview I've done in my career. With a high powered offense and an improved defense, it looks like the sky is the limit for this falcon team. Back to you guys at TSPN
