Tulsa 35, Kentucky 17
We jumped out to a 21-0 lead by half, and traded scores for the most part in the 2nd half.
Offense: Moved the ball much more effectively on me than in the past. I tried to blitz a bit more than usual, and at times it was a blessing, other times it did not help me. He used 2 different QB's. Had 10 run plays as opposed to 43 pass plays, but that was due to the score, ALTHOUGH his offense was a bit built to pass moreso than pound the ball. Collins was his top target through the air, and he performs well when you leave him alone. When given a lot of time in the pocket, will sit and wait for other routes to break down, but also will make bad decisions when holding on to the football for too long. Seemed like when his offensive play call was 'on schedule', was much better with the football.
Defense: Stuffed my run pretty effectively. I was able to break loose for maybe 2-3 runs, but other than that, we were bottled up. My damage came when I threw the ball. Vulnerable over the middle with a TE. My TE made some pretty critical catches early in the game. If you watch the video, you can see he's more likely to drop his guys back than blitz, but that makes you have to be much more careful with the football and you have to make the correct read before you toss it. I threw one pick and lost a fumble as well.
ST's: Nothing of note!
Overall: Enjoyable game, looking forward to future battles. GG!
