don't worry cole, i don't have sometrhing just against cam.... i have doubts normally on all incoming qbs... hell i even doubt my team's franchise qb who around my parts has the label of a prima donna... i would be perfectly fine if mallet fell to us and we took him

I just don't think he'll pan out, just a gut feeling.

Well, Carolina made him pick #1 ... so now we just need an NFL season next year so we can see who's right.

I just think it's funny to say that about cam. Locker freaking sucks and he's a great pick.....lmao. But out of all the qbs the one who played the best against the toughest competition is the one that gets all the criticism.

I thought Locker was a horrible pick.

Yeah Locker and Newton are both bad picks my opinion. I'd never take a QB in the first round that had any question marks concerning his transition into the league. Too many first round busts. Rather get an experienced guy in free agency, like a Trent Dilfer and win a super bowl with good defense and supporting cast like Tampa Bay/Baltimore did.
I would have taken Luck had he came out, though (if I was Carolina).

Why take luck then? What did he show that other qbs didn't? What makes him so good? I watched him make horrible throws. Put him against teams that play defense and watch. he had one play where he threw a lob at 3 defenders but his wr came and jumped and stole it. Try that against patrick peterson and see what happens. And how many teams has a defense where they can sit back and win? That dilfer theory wouldn't have worked for the last 5 super bowl champions. Cam could be a bust the thing about it if it's a guy who can be dominant it's him. Why not take a chance. They went to the super bowl with delhome.....would you say he is a good qb? If I'm picking#1 I'm going for the guy with the most upside.

Aldon Smith - Says we are staying a 34 defense Colin Kaepernick - Bigger, more accurate Josh Johnson. If Harbaugh was able to get Johnson to throw 40 touchdowns to only one pick, what can he do in the big leagues. Absolutely love this choice.

KELVIN SHEPPARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to love him back in NCAA '09! Now he's in Buffalo Very exciting times Nice seeing guys we've played with get drafted lol, even though I'm pretty sure most of the Cal guys taken were never on my team. I'm pretty pumped about my Lions so far, I think we needed a O-lineman and some corner help, but maybe we can get that in free agency.

No worries there, Ed, Shane Vareen is now a Pat. I didn't mind the pick, but then we picked up the kid from LSU right after, so that was a little odd. Especially considering we could have easily taken Mark Ingram. Something in the interview process must not have clicked with him. Not sure how I feel about picking Ryan Mallet. The positive will be that he's the only highly graded QB taken that will actually get a chance to sit and learn for a while as opposed to being thrown to the wolves. So at least he'll be ready, and the Pats do at least have a history of doing really well with backup QBs. Hell, Brian Hoyer is a better QB now than half the starters in the League right now. Not sure what their intent is on the pass rush situation, though. I really think they only need one other guy. Cunningham - our rookie from Florida last season - came on really well late in the year after missing a lot of time due to injury. I'm guessing that's why we avoided going for Bowers. I was pissed that we missed out on Ayers from UCLA. I think he'll be very solid, and he was one of the only hybrids in the Draft that actually did make the transition from DE to OLB while in college. But there are still a ton of guys available, so who knows. No one really went after LBs so far, it was pretty much a run on secondary and DTs.

Josh johnson was josh johnson josh johnson has talent you can't just make anybody into anything you have to have the talent and the talent around the players. I like the smith pick I think he's going to be good. They should address their secondary though. I think they should have went there or took a gamble on bowers for a pass rush. I think the titans and falcons are idiots
