Aldon Smith - Says we are staying a 34 defense Colin Kaepernick - Bigger, more accurate Josh Johnson. If Harbaugh was able to get Johnson to throw 40 touchdowns to only one pick, what can he do in the big leagues. Absolutely love this choice. You put too much on the coaches. Josh johnson was josh johnson josh johnson has talent you can't just make anybody into anything you have to have the talent and the talent around the players. I like the smith pick I think he's going to be good. They should address their secondary though. I think they should have went there or took a gamble on bowers for a pass rush. I think the titans and falcons are idiots smith may be good. the new coordinator is gonna mimic the green bay defense with multiple fronts and use the lbs in crazy ways. However the dlinemen for green bay are stout playmakers. Justin Smith, Aubrayo Franklin and Isaac Sopranga......not so much. As far as coaches....I have said it a thousand times. Great qb/coach combo is a guaranteed winner every time. We finally have the great coach. Now if his pet position doesn't succeed....it's all on him. Cole, What are the coaches there for then? I think the Falcons are idiots too. Belichek has shown the success is to trade down and get more quantity especially if you can develop well. While I think Jones will be a beast in Atlanta, 2 first rounders + is very steep. I assume you are calling the titans idiots for drafting Locker. Please clarify why.

Because I think locker sucks. And unlike how many do with cam I look at his body of work and how he played against good teams. People say cam can't throw but with this guy they like his potential...cam run too much but this guy has heart and guts and is so tough when he runs...funny to me

Yeah, I don't see the love-fest for Jake Locker. He has piss poor accuracy as a college QB, I can't see that translating to all of a sudden being accurate in the League. Take a look at any of the athletic, hyped QBs to come out over the past 10 years. If they couldn't complete more than 55% of their passes in four years in college, then they definitely won't do it against higher end competition.

Okay, honestly, there's only a handful of really good QB's in the NFL, a load of mediocre ones, a bunch of ones who rotate between the bench and starting, and more than anything, lifetime 2nd and 3rd string would be's. It's not any particular hate on Cam Newton to think that he won't pan out in the NFL, its just what's most likely to happen. Way better NFL prospects have failed to ever develop in the next level. Upside just means you aren't that good yet.
I could care less how cam does one way or another, but I wager to guess his career will go something like...
1. He'll be a starter before he gets a chance to learn the NFL game. 2. He'll struggle at first, but make some plays, and show some glimpses of greatness. His athleticism will be exciting so people will overlook inconsistencies. 3. Regardless of how good he is, the rest of the Panthers are lousy and don't give him help and are at best average as a whole. 4. Wins enough games with a flashy highlight film to miss the playoffs, and give Panther fans hope for next season to be awesome if they just get another great player in the draft that offseason. 5. Next season, is unremarkable, not bad, but Cam is a middle of the road QB that makes some bad decisions. Doesn't scramble like he used to because he's tired of taking hits, but hasn't developed as a pocket passer enough to be effective behind the line. 6. Cam plays 4 season with Carolina, gets impatient, requests a trade, goes to the Vikings, Redskins, or the Bears and rotates in out of the starter positions.

Biggest misconception people have about cam who didn't really watch him play is that he scrambles alot. Spent more time screaming telling him to run than him actually running

im very anxious to see how cam does... I thought the ravens had a pretty good draft... Jimmy Smith will be one of the steal's of the draft if he pans out. the ravens really needed someone who can play good solid man coverage and allow the front 7 to apply pressure to the qb. Im a big fan of the torrey smith pick in round 2. We needed someone who can stretch the field vertically and open up the middle and underneath for boldin/stallworth/mason/housh.

Now I know it was against the Cardinals, but holy Cam Newton. 422 with 2 TDs and another rushing? Hell of a debut.
